A counselor, writer, & speak things into existence optimist dedicated to helping you breakthrough to the life you want.
I grew up in Ellisville, Mississippi, a small town just below Laurel (made popular by HGTV’s Hometown). With a passion for family and a dream for every child to grow up in a loving home, I’m proud to have created a mind-soul business that touches thousands.
It’s funny how what you hate forces you to step into what you love. Here’s how it actually began.
I had a gift for going into stealth mode. Or maybe a weakness for sitting in on other people’s conversations. My expert listening as though I’m not listening was usually rewarded with some juicy news. But I was a little disappointed when I learned that a classmate celebrated his 16th birthday smoking marijuana with his dad.
I know. I know. Weed is legal depending on where you live. But this was back in the day and I think a dad could have found some other way to celebrate besides introducing his kid to alcohol or drugs.
The things we hate are what we find ourselves trying to fix.
Whether it was bad parenting choices, fatherless and motherless homes, or seeing friends withdraw from school after getting tossed around in foster care, I was motivated to fix the black family.
Which later became a passion to heal the heart and mind of people through counseling and mental health advocacy.
I’m here to help. My company is built on an infectious optimism that anything is possible, a passion for family, and a commitment to growth through lifelong learning.
